An Examination of Indian MF Investors Awareness
The “Indian Mutual Fund Investor Study” uses a behavioral science lens to understand the reasons why the Indian investor has a sub-optimal engagement with Mutual Funds (MFs), despite the fact that they are one of the most attractive investment avenues available for the retail investor for long-term wealth creation. Challenge The study was text heavy with complicated visuals. To release the report publicly, they needed to simplify the information through data visualisations and smart design. Design Approach A grid system was designed to allow paragraphs and diagrams flow effortlessly. Huge titles that contrast the body text were used to create a perfect balance for the reader. This domination/isolation technique reduces the cognitive effort involved in reading text heavy documents. Complicated graphs and theories were simplified by data visualisation in the form of info-graphics.
